Area 51 Adult Social Education Centre
Make a Difference Today!
Every day, people with learning disabilities join our sessions, workshops and activities to learn new skills, build friendships, and experience the social connectedness that comes from being part of a community.
Your support helps make those moments possible. Whether it’s a financial donation or the gift of unused equipment — from craft supplies to sensory resources or accessible technology — your generosity directly enriches lives.
Together, we can create spaces where everyone is valued, included, and empowered to thrive. No contribution is too small — every act of kindness helps us do something extraordinary.
Make a Difference Today!
Due to redevelopment works in Haringey and the closure of our old centre, we're delighted to have moved into our brand-new home, where our services will continue to grow and thrive.
Our new centre is much more spacious and will allow us to extend our offer in new and exciting ways over the coming months.
We are now looking to raise funds to support our plans to improve the new centre, create additional community facilities and offer more activities in the evenings and weekends as well as our day-time offer.

By donating to our fundraiser, you will be contributing to:
-
the creation of a sensory room for people with profound learning difficulties and sensory disabilities.
-
modernisation of the building including energy efficient heating, seperate activity spaces, a new kitchen and cafe area, replacement of flooring to make the building more accessible and redecoration.
-
the creation of a sensory garden and outdoor space for people to enjoy growing plants, fruits and vegetables
-
ICT facilities to teach digital skills for work and leisure.
-
the development of a community cafe to promote social cohesiveness in the local community and provide a safe and welcoming space for people to come togther and share time.
In a time when public funding is shrinking and the cost of living continues to rise, community organisations like ours are being asked to do more with less. Yet every day, we see the difference that kindness and connection make — a smile shared, a skill learned, a moment of belonging.
We’re proud to stand alongside people with learning disabilities, creating spaces where everyone is valued and included. But the truth is, the pressures on the third sector are real: reduced grants, higher costs, and growing need in our communities.
Your support — whether through a donation, volunteering, or sharing our message — helps keep vital opportunities alive. It means we can continue offering warmth, creativity, and purpose when it’s needed most.
Together, we can show that even in hard times, compassion and community are stronger than austerity. Every contribution helps build a future that includes everyone.
